Te Kura is the education arm of the New Zealand Judiciary, established through a Memorandum of Understanding between the judiciary and the Ministry of Justice / Te Tāhū o te Ture. Our role is to inform and inspire the judiciary and support the development of good judicial skills.
Te Kura’s Governing Board—made up of representatives from the judiciary, the legal profession, law schools and the community—is responsible for the overall strategic direction of Te Kura. The Director, supported by a number of education committees, is responsible for the day-to-day administration of Te Kura.
